Marriage Ceremony.

No matter what kind of wedding you have, it’s your special day, and must reflect what you want and need in a ceremony. I can offer you a range of readings, vows and blessings that you can use for inspiration or you can write your own.

Many couples like to incorporate  symbolic rituals such as a Sand  Ceremony, a Candle Ceremony or a Hand-fasting Ceremony at their wedding. I can guide you through these ceremonies and what they mean and how they can be relevant to you, as well as provide a variety of appropriate verses and readings.

Most importantly,  a Notice of Intended Marriage form must be filled out, signed and lodged with the celebrant at least one month before the wedding date, and a Declaration is signed and completed just before the big day.  Legal wording is used during the ceremony, and you must have two witnesses over the age of 18 years to be present at your wedding.  I will guide you through all of this, to help make your day relaxed and stress-free.

Renewal of Vows.

To celebrate an anniversary many couples choose to renew their vows with one another. This is an excellent opportunity to revisit  the beginning  of your initial attraction with one another, and remind yourselves why you both fell in love. A Renewal of Vows ceremony does not include any legal paperwork, or have any legal requirements, but I endeavour to make this occasion as important and memorable as your wedding day.

Commitment Ceremony.

This ceremony suits both mixed-gender and same-sex couples who are not able to marry for any reason, or who are not interested in making the legal commitment of marriage. No legal paperwork is required, but I can provide plenty of readings, verses, vows and promises if required for inspiration.

Baby-Naming Ceremony.

A Baby-Naming is a beautiful way to welcome a child into society. Parents have the opportunity to acknowledge support from friends and family,  and perhaps nominate god-parents or guardians to continue to be a part of the child’s inner circle of mentors.  No legal paperwork or wording is required for this ceremony, but god-parents, grand-parents and mentors can be presented with a certificate marking the occasion.
